Nearly $200,000 in scholarship money is offered through the College of Agricultural Sciences each year. Students may apply for these scholarships by submitting an application to the College of Agricultural Sciences. Forms may be obtained in the College of Ag Advising Office (Strand Ag Hall 137) or from the AREC Advising office (Ballard Extension Hall 208)
Application deadline is February 1.
The Agricultural and Resource Economics department is very fortunate to have excellent support
in the way of scholarships from a variety of sources. Most recently, over $8,500 was awarded to
undergraduate students selected by the department.
Oregon Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers Award
- Level: 1 - 2 years remaining in the AREC Department
- Criteria: interest in farm management and rural appraising, high scholastic accomplishments, demonstrated
leadership and service attitudes, resident of Oregon
Rachel and Harold Hollands Scholarship Award
- Level: Undergraduate male student (generally a current junior or senior) in the AREC Department
- Criteria: financial need for assistance, scholarship achievement, good character, U.S.
citizenship
Agricultural Cooperative Council of Oregon Scholarship
Award
- Level: Junior or Senior in the AREC Department
- Criteria: interest in farm cooperatives and agricultural
business management
LeRoy Breithaupt Award
- Level: Junior or Senior in the AREC department
- Criteria: outstanding student
Ermine L. and Norma Olson Potter Award
- Level: Undergraduate student (generally a current soph, junior or senior)in the AREC Department
- Criteria: To assist needy and deserving students
Fred Obermiller Memorial Scholarship
- Level: Freshman - Senior in the AREC Department
- Criteria: Full-time student in the EEPM major and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
D. Curtis Mumford Award
- Level: Sophomore in the AREC Department
- Criteria: 3.00 GPA, evidence of good standing, education goal oriented, and career
focused.
William P. "Chip" Harris Memorial Scholarship
- Level: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in the AREC Department
- Criteria: Benton County student who is providing at least one half of their own
financial support.
Goedeck Family Scholarship
- Level: Any major in the AREC Department
- Criteria: Department Discretion
Outstanding Senior
- Level: Senior in the AREC Department
- Criteria: Outstanding senior
