Research Interest Statement

My general research interests include all aspects of fisheries economics, international and domestic seafood markets, aquaculture economics, fisheries management and institutions. Specific past projects include the effects of Russian political changes on international seafood trade, and market channels for Pacific Northwest seafood.

Biographical Sketch

Ann L. Shriver has been Executive Director of the International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade (IIFET) since 1987. Since 2001, she has also served as Director of the North American Association of Fisheries Economists' (NAAFE) Business Office. Prior employment includes serving as Agricultural and Program Economist for the U.S. Agency for International Development in Tanzania, East Africa, and adult education program coordinator for the Training for Self Reliance Project in Lesotho, Southern Africa (U.S. Peace Corps).
